Hello Kitty Bluetooth Headset Not For The Men

September 30, 07 by You Teck

hellokittybluetoothheadset.jpg

If you’re like any hot blooded male, you would most probably never want to be associated with one of the Hello Kitty Bluetooth Headset unless you’re a _______. Here’s the shocker, according to Kitty Hell, Sanrio are actually targeting their crosshair at the male market and I can only say that I’m flabbergasted.

They came up with things like they are great for listening to music, school courses, the TV and while playing video games. Good grief, if you’re converted at this very moment and want to get the headset, its priced at 15,750 Yen (about $137 USD). For the rest of us, it’s the usual Jawbone, i.Tech and Jabra. Nothing too fancy with good quality

P.S I’ve really enjoyed the post over at Kitty Hell and you should probably head on down to the site for a good laugh.

Inka Ink : A Practical Solution To A Common Problem

September 28, 07 by You Teck

I am sure most of us have faced the problem of not being able to write or sign on a paper when its placed against the wall and it can be a real irritating issue at times.

InkaPen.jpg

Finally, a engineer has decided to come up with a innovation named Inka Pen and it allows you to do just that.

The pen is designed in a way such that the pressurized ink cartridge ensures the pen will write wet or dry at any angle, any temperature, and any altitude although I can’t seem to think of any reasons why would you want to write underwater.

Considering that the Inka pens comes with a lifetime warranty, they’re surely taking no chance on the quality as its fabricated from high-strength aerospace-grade materials. The smart design also ensures that you can slot the close up pen anywhere in your pocket by screwing the pen into the metal closure.

The pen can also double up as a key chain when not in use and they should be applaud for using recycled material for their package as well. The pen is priced at $16 USD with its refill cartridge costing just $3.60 per piece.

Verdict: Get them!

Does Milk Really Contains Stress Relieving Hormone?

September 28, 07 by You Teck

Apparently, one Japanese company does think so and they took it to the next level by coming up with a super-premium milk for the stressed-out adults.

adultmilk.jpg

Tokyo-based Nakazawa Foods have named this super-premium milk of theirs the “Adult Milk” with a target market of adults who live in a stressful society. The magic behind this “super-premium milk” is its high amount of stress-relieving hormone called melatonin which can be found in it.

Having a high level of curiosity, I decided to do a little research on the term melatonin (hey, I do my homework as well huh!) and found out that most living creatures(that includes you and me) do produced these type of hormone and it’s suppose to trigger the body’s sleep response.

If you’re wondering how all these relates to stress relieve, here’s the lowdown. When we are under stress, we tend to produce less of this hormone. If we produce less of this hormone, there’s a high change of insomnia which will led to insufficient sleep. We all know what are the sort of things that can happen if we don’t get enough sleep and that’s where the supplements of melatonin comes into place.

It’s suppose to help our bodies know when it’s time to go to sleep and when it’s time to wake up, something like a re-regulation of the system clock. No wonder there’s a saying that says you’ll sleep easily if you drink a glass of warm milk before going to bed. That’s quite a bit of science lesson yeah?

Back to the “super premium milk”, it’s call a premium milk because they contain three to four times as much melatonin as usual milk and they’re collected at a special time slot. The milk is taken from cows once a week at the break of dawn as they discharge a lot of a stress-relieving hormone called melatonin during the night, the company said.

Not all types of melatonin are good as I’ve a really interesting finding here where the source says that if melatonin comes from animal tissue, this grade of melatonin may be accompanied by viruses or proteins that could cause an antibody response and they highly recommend that people stay away from it.

Considering that the milk are bottled within six hours of milking at a farm north of Tokyo, I highly doubt that there will be any processing done and that does leave a lot to be desired huh?

Well, premium stuff certainly don’t come cheap and a bottle of this milk cost a whopping 5000 Yen /$44 USD/ $65 SGD. Holy Cow Moo, the price is easily 30 times of what I’m getting for my bottle of milk and it would make a lot more sense to simply  purchase a bottle of melatonin supplement as it can bought at a price of just $12 USD.

Bottom Line: If you really need a dosage of melatonin, consult a doc and get the supplements instead. It’s cheaper and safer.
