September 30, 07 by You Teck

If you’re like any hot blooded male, you would most probably never want to be associated with one of the Hello Kitty Bluetooth Headset unless you’re a _______. Here’s the shocker, according to Kitty Hell, Sanrio are actually targeting their crosshair at the male market and I can only say that I’m flabbergasted.

They came up with things like they are great for listening to music, school courses, the TV and while playing video games. Good grief, if you’re converted at this very moment and want to get the headset, its priced at 15,750 Yen (about $137 USD). For the rest of us, it’s the usual Jawbone, i.Tech and Jabra. Nothing too fancy with good quality

P.S I’ve really enjoyed the post over at Kitty Hell and you should probably head on down to the site for a good laugh.

Bluetrek UFO bluetooth headset

This bluetooth headset which got its name from the shape of its design is one of the latest headset from Bluetrek.

The company actually claim that its UFO bluetooth headset is the first round non-ear intrusive headset whereby it doesn’t doesn’t actually go into the ear but it fits on it. To go with the design, there’s a choice of ear hooks that can be used with the lightweight (8g) headset even if you’re wearing in glasses .

Features are as follow:

  • DSP(improved sound and less interference)
  • Pre-registered phone numbers where you can activate at the touch of a button
  • An indicator for low battery and remaining standby time
  • Optional voice alerts
  • Up to 6 hours of Talk time

You can get one of these bluetooth headsets for £49.99 ($152 SGD) and I particularly like the slogan they use in their main page, “If you can’t beat them to the line, you can at least look the part”.

Nokia’s Annouces BH-903 and BH-902 OLED displays Bluetooth Headsets

August 27, 07 by You Teck

Nokia have just spice things up a little with their new BH-903 and BH-902 OLED displays bluetooth headsets. As if to catch up with fellow bluetooth developers, this two bluetooth headsets have arrived at the right time indeed.

Let’s look into the BH-903 first:

  • OLED display
  • Support for A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, HFP and HSP
  • 15 hours of talk/music
  • 23-gram

Nokia BH-903 OLED Bluetooth Headset

This stereo headset do look pretty sleek and I like the way the OLED is being displayed at the top of the headset. However, I’m not really sure about the price as it’s a bit steep at €200 or $414 SGD.

Now, let’s step to the BH-902:

  • OLED display
  • Support for A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, HFP and HSP
  • 8-hours of talk/music
  • 18.2-grams

Nokia BH-902 OLED Bluetooth Headset

This headset is different from the previous one in the sense that it’s a mono set rather than a stereo one. The clip and neckstrap is being deploy such that you can attached the headset to any part of your body so long you can read the OLED clearly.

It might be a little troublesome to use this set as there’s the hassle of fitting the headset into your ear after viewing the OLED. You can save the trouble unless you don’t plan to use the OLED display but it defeats its purpose in the first place. The set is priced at €115 or $238 SGD.

Both headsets are set to shipped in the Q4 and I’m not really sure if it’s worth the money to get them as there’s cheaper alternative available.

August 20, 07 by You Teck

I’m not sure if this new technology a not because i.Tech has got the BlueBAND R that has bluetooth capability in headphone format as well (Look Right at the banner).

However, one of the special feature for the headset is that it can transform into a speaker for your laptop or computer with the the flick of your wrist.

Here’s a quick look into its feature:

  • Bluetooth capability
  • 32 operating hours on a single charge
  • 26 hours for speakers mode (depends on volume)
  • Able to pair up to multiple device at the same time

Pricing at $235 ($361 SGD), the headset certainly don’t come cheap though.

Bluetooth Helmet From Votronic’s BlueBike

This helmet could be the perfect foil for the Super Vespa as it has Bluetooth technology integrated into the helmet.

Dubbed a “modular communication system, there’s 3 options for you to use the technology. You can use the basic handset communication, tune into music via Bluetooth or a hardwired adapter, or even chat sans wires with your passenger.

Another point to note is according to the developers, this technology can be individually adapted to everybody’s requirement.

The device can offer operation time of at least 20 hours and the entry price this technology is at €350 ($1073 SGD).
