Here’s a quicky, Casio have just launched a pair of new face detecting, YouTube-ready Exilim cameras.
First up is the 10 megapixel EX-Z1050 which incorporates the Exilim Engine 2.0 high-performance image processing module, thus allowing high quality movies to be recorded at the high compression rate of the next-generation H.264 standard.
Next we have the 8.1 megapixel EX-V8 which is a upgraded version of the EX-V7. The camera which also consists of the H.264 standard retains its 7x zoom and CCD-shift image stabilization.
Both cameras are You Tube ready meaning that movies which the users shoot will be save at the optimum size, quality and other settings for YouTube. Both sets of camera will be launching in September with V8 pricing at $330 ($502 SGD) and the Z1080 at a lower price of $280 ($426 SGD).

We all want to capture the most exciting moment in our lives and this is especially so if we’re out on that mountain climbing and trail cycling trip. However, it can be pretty troublesome and quite impossible to hold our camera in 1 hand while climbing, thus came the ATC2K Action Camera from Oregon Scientific.
Basically this digital video camera can be mounted onto your helmet or handlebars enabling you to capture video clips of different kinds of high adrenalin activities, or normal activities for that matter.Powered by 2 AA batteries, the waterproof video camera has a internal memory of 32 MB and an SD card slot supporting up to 2GB. The camera is able to shoot videos in 640×480 VGA at 30fps and it would really be cool if you can capture all the action while you’re surfing the waves.I’m not sure if the camera is low cost although the store did mention so, it’s priced at $302.68 SGD.

Stunning features would be the word to describe these 2 new cameras from Sony. Featuring 8.1 Megapixels for both cameras, the DSC-T200 comes with 5x Optical while the DSC-T70 is equipped with 3x Optical.
Now, the killer features for the camera is of cause not just that, now catch this. Firstly, there’s a touchscreen that can be used whilst taking a picture to direct the focus in the desired area and then, there’s the smile shutter mode which will snapped automatically once it detects a smile in the picture.
