Wacky Monday: Play Tag The Laser Way

November 05, 07 by You Teck

I’m not sure about most of you readers but when I was younger, I used to play the hit and run tag with my cousins and school mates.

Fast forward to the 21st century, your kids would most probably not have to play tag the old way if you get one of the Spy Laser Chase for them.

Just strap the gadget around your wrist and you will be ready to strike. All you need to worry about is your own aiming and dodging capability as the gadget will let you know if you’ve hit or being hit by giving out an electronic sound effects. The special “five lives” mode also let the user take on 5 hits before they are out.

One thing to note is that the gadget works on infra and my guess is that there might be times where the hit wouldn’t be counted if there is no line of sight.

The gadget retails at $19.95 USD and it could turn out to be a very good gift.

An evolved version of Tamagotchi, these dudes require your TLC(Tender, Love and Care) and their mood are constantly displayed by their different facial expressions through the front panel LED. Make them happy and they will flap their ears or sing a song for you, make them sad, well, they would probably just display a angry or sad expression.

If you need a little more entertainment for your boring work desk life, you can take one of them home for just $16.50 USD over at Brando.

Beauto is a DIY house cleaning robot that has just been developed by the highly innovative Japanese robot maker VStone. After you are done with editing the software, just load the robot with a 4 AAA batteries and its set to roll.

Considering that Beauto is from a national that produced Gundam, I’m not really surprised that owners of the robot will get the opportunity to add parts to it with the possibility of turning it into a battle mod.

Beauto retails at around $226 SGD.

Wacky Monday: Kaboom!

October 29, 07 by You Teck

I’m sure many of us have played bomberman before and don’t we love those mind blowing bombs that we could blow off in chains?

BombermanExplodingBomb.jpg

Well, you could now own one of these plush “bombs” in the real life for Think Geek have just loaded them into their inventories. For a start, the bomb features an electronic motion sensor which could give a “blup” sound, the sound of a burning fuse and a booming noise.

In my opinion, these plush bombs look perfect for some creative games during summer camps where players are given forfeit if the toy results in a boom noise while it’s still in their possession. I’m sure the sound of a burning fuse will certainly add quite a bit of intensity to the game as well.

Priced at $24.99 USD, it certainly doesn’t hurt to have a bit of combo with either the red or black Bomberman Exploding Bomb.
