Before P1i came out into the market, there was the P990i. But then again, the P990i wasn’t as good as expected with its firmware bugs. Then came the M600i which again, was another disappointment with its own unique problems such as laggy, etc.
After doing some reflections, Sony Ericsson came out with THIS- P1i
With its dimensions of 106 X 55 X 17 mm, it has a rectangular feel to it.
Also not forgetting to mention looks more sleek and style than the M600i.
The 2.6″ X 240 X 320 pixel TFT display with transflective panel to allow you to read your own scribbing in daylight. The display is sharp and the video playback is clear.
The P1i has a pretty good character recognition, thus taking down notes, blogging etc could be a walk in the park especially with the T9 predictive text.
Its business tools include the standard Quick Office and PDF+. There is also a business card scanner included but considering the fact that its troublesome and laggy, one wouldn’t use it too much lol.
Music -wise, the sony walkman concept satisfies your appetite for music . It also comes with a megabass, making the crisp-clear music a better enjoyment. Files can also be transferred wirelessly using bluetooth .
Well, all in all I rate this phone 7.5/10

The above picture is the Samsung F200 which was recently released at CeBIT. Tout as the successor to the narrow pocket-friendly X830 swivel phone, the F200 is somewhat different from from the X830 as it’s focus to music with a digital amp and enhanced 3D audio.
Here’s some quick stats:
- 1.46-inch
- 220 x 128 resolution external display
- Support for MP3, WMA, OGG, DCF, and SMP file formats
- 5MB of internal storage (Man, if it’s the correct one, its terrible)
- A microSD slot for memory expansion till 2GB
- A hold switch and headphone jack to compliment the musical abilities
I wonder how could it be tout as a music focus phone if it has only 5 MB of internal memory. Although the expansion slot does makes it up to a certain degree, I certainly feel that it could be better if it’s at least 512 MB.
It might also be worth while to note that the F200 does not have the camera function as its design is geared more towards the MP3 plus mobile phone device.
Currently, the phone has retailed in china for an estimated price of $182 USD/ $273 SGD and there’s no news of the phone being released in other countries although there’s already a few Online Store which has listed them.

It seems like Goggle phone rumors are spreading all across the net and here’s a little tipsy bitsy news on the phones.
Rumors has it that Google could be working closely with Taiwanese handset manufacturer HTC to produce a phone with a Google-approved OS. Based on this piece of news, it seems like Google will be leaving all the hardware stuffs to 3rd party manufacturer and concentrate solely on the software, in this case the OS and applications.
According to GigaOm, the OS would be based on a mobile variant of Linux, and will support Java apps. Other sources even speculate that this elusive phone will support all of Google’s applications, like Google Maps, GMail, and even Google Docs.
Although the above stated are only rumors, the phone will definitely create a high level of anticipation if it does goes into production.

The above picture which is fresh from the oven might be the leaked photo of the Nokia 8900 if its indeed the right one. According to the rumors that’s floating across the net, the Nokia 8900 will come equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera and 3G connectivity.
In my opinion, it looks pretty much the same as the Luna and I’m guessing the price could be in the $1,000 plus range as well.
