Before P1i came out into the market, there was the P990i. But then again, the P990i wasn’t as good as expected with its firmware bugs. Then came the M600i which again, was another disappointment with its own unique problems such as laggy, etc.

After doing some reflections, Sony Ericsson came out with THIS- P1i

With its dimensions of 106 X 55 X 17 mm, it has a rectangular feel to it.

Also not forgetting to mention looks more sleek and style than the M600i.

The 2.6″ X 240 X 320 pixel TFT display with transflective  panel to allow you to read your own scribbing in daylight. The display is sharp and the video playback is clear.

The P1i  has a pretty good character recognition, thus taking down notes, blogging etc could be a walk in the park especially with the T9 predictive text.

Its business tools include the standard Quick Office and PDF+. There is also a business card scanner included but considering the fact that its troublesome and laggy, one wouldn’t use it too much lol.

Music -wise, the sony walkman concept satisfies your appetite for music . It also comes with a megabass, making the crisp-clear music a better enjoyment. Files can also be transferred wirelessly using bluetooth .

Well, all in all I rate this phone 7.5/10
