Put in coins or it will explode

If your New Year’s resolution has always been saving more money year after year, it could probably meant two things. First, you’re on track and you’re looking forward for more. Second, as usual, you have totally neglected it.
Whatever the case, toy manufacturer TOMY Co Ltd latest creation, the Savings Bomb is here to help. If the user fails to save (slot in coins) for a long time, the device would lights up, makes a noise, shakes violently and scatters the coins within it.
Yeah, I know I know, of course it won’t really explode and the whole point behind this concept according to the company is to make the user reflect on their laziness. Well, at least they tried to look the part by designing it as a ball-shaped black bomb with a skull and crossbones logo on it.
The gadget will only be on sale in Japan for 2,922 ¥en ($22 USD).
