Rhythmbits Are Dancing Turtle, Not Ninja Turtle
October 05, 07 by You TeckFollowing the released of Walkiebits, a dancing miniature robot turtle in 2005, Japanese toy manufacturer Tomy has came out with a new set of dancing turtle named Rhythmbits to continue the “ree-thym”.

Manipulated by infrared light from a nearby controller, the Rhythmbits is able to respond to high and low-pitched sounds and they will dance along to the music by either wagging their tail or moving back and froth.
It’s said that the turtles are able to dance to a human high or low pitch voice and that left me wondering if it can actually respond to a beat box rhythm. Available in 6 colors, these cute little turtles cost just 1,575 yen (about $14 USD).
